Christmas Cards Card GameFor 2 to 4 players, ages 4 to 10 years old
One deck of cards, consisting of:
12 Candy Cane Cards
12 Toy Soldier Cards
12 Santa Cards
12 Rudolph the Reindeer Cards
4 Stocking with Coal Cards
4 Tree with Presents Cards
Object of the Game:
To make pairs. Santa is a pair with Santa, Candy Cane with Candy Cane, etc. The only way to make a pair with the Stocking with Coal is by getting a Tree with Presents!
How to play:
Dealer shuffles the cards and deals 6 cards to each player. The rest of the cards are placed in the middle for the draw pile. If the player has any pairs, they are placed on the table. When player is done making pairs, player takes one card from her/his hand and hands it to the player on her/his left. That player then takes one card from the pile, and proceeds to make pairs. At the beginning of each player's turn, a card is drawn from the pile. At the end of each player's turn, a card is passed to the player on the left. Round ends when one player has no more cards in her/his hand.
Scoring for 4 to 6 year olds:
Score one point for each pair. Score two points for each Coal/Tree pair. Game ends when one player reaches 10 points.
Scoring for 7 to 10 year olds:
Score one point for each pair. Score two points for each Coal/Tree pair. Take away one point for each Stocking with Coal left in the player's hand. Game ends when one player reaches 20 points.
